Warning:
Only to be used by the brave-hearted. This Ghost Pepper infused salt is 400 times hotter than Tabasco Sauce.
Ingredients:
Ghost Chilli: Chilli contains up to seven times the vitamin C level of an orange and has a wide range of health benefits, including fighting sinus congestion, helping digestion and relieving migraines, muscle, joint and nerve pain. It also contains vitamin A and E, beta-carotene, folic acid and potassium. Bhut jolokia (ghost chilli) is used as food and as a spice. It is used in both fresh and dried forms, to "heat up" curries, pickles and chutneys. It is popularly used in combination with pork or dried and fermented fish. In north-eastern India, the peppers are smeared on fences as a safety precaution to keep wild elephants at a distance. Maybe we should use it to keep possums away. The pepper's intense heat makes it a fixture in competitive chilli pepper eating contests.
Uses:
Sprinkle over your favourite dish for those who want the extra kick and taste of a real chilli. Use sparingly as a cooking salt to get a light chilli flavour.
